Personality: Waterdrop was born with a natural affinity for the arts. They see beauty in all things, nature and such. They try to capture this beauty in the skin of the apples. However, they are also aware that beauty is fleeting. They get quite depressed at times because of the impermanence of everything, and how the meaning of life is arbitrary. They find the fact that the apples they carve their art on always rotting away to capture this metaphorically pretty well. They also work hard for the attention of those they admire, though sometimes they are not sure how to react when they do receive attention. Sometimes they have crippling feelings of inadequacy and this contributes to a tendency to over work themself. They are shy and slow to trust, but fiercely loyal to those they do place trust in.

Waterdrop doesn’t talk about their gender much. Not because they are ashamed, but because they don’t think it is an important thing for strangers to know about them. They will talk about their gender to cat’s they trust, and pay more attention to whether or not cats close to them use correct pronouns and such while they usually do not care what pronouns strangers use. While not usually bothered by use of incorrect pronouns, they will get extremely uncomfortable if forced into gender roles, even if it is being done by a cat they don’t care about. If they wind up trusting a cat enough to ask them to use preferred pronouns, they will feel extremely betrayed by purposeful misgendering from that cat, and will usually withdraw all trust in them.

History: They didn’t think anyone else would understand their point of view when young, and so was very withdrawn and focused on art. However, when they became an apprentice, they worried that they would become a burden on their clan. They started to throw themselves into training, trying to prove themself as worthy. They threw themself into training, wearing themself out at times. They went to a dark place for a bit. Around this time, they started interacting with Sparkfur (then sparkpaw). They had met as kits, but training together had helped them to get to know each other better. As they interacted through training, Waterdrop started to connect to Sparkfur. They started to realize that they are not completely alone in this world, and that even if someone doesn’t understand you all the way that it is good to be able to talk to someone. They started to open up more at this time, and started to connect a little more to other cats as well. They started making art again, and living a more balanced life, though sometimes they still go to a dark place.

Waterdrop was born a rather small and frail kit, and was frightened of most things. Their mother was supportive of them, but they felt like a disappointment. Waterkit was withdrawn and preferred not to play with the other kits, afraid of being hurt. Their mother tried to get them to play with others and become stronger, saying that if they wanted to be a warrior some day they would have to learn to interact with others and be stronger. She meant well, but it contributed to Waterdrop’s developing sense of inadequacy and lead to over training later in life.
